Festival de Cannes 2012 - Video ARTISTI 7607
Cannes, May, 16th 2012
I am pleased to announce you that “An Italian comedy which doesn’t make you laugh”, docu-video directed by Luca D’Ascanio and produced by our Association, Artisti 7607, will be officially presented at the Festival de Cannes, at the Short Film Corner Event (May 16th to 26th 2012)
The video is also available on internet at:
Artisti 7607 is an Italian Association which represents over 1300 performers.
The video is not only about neighbouring rights. What we represent thanks to the voices and faces of Giuseppe Battiston, Paolo Calabresi, Valentina Correani, Elio Germano, Valeria Golino, Neri Marcoré, Valerio Mastandrea, Isabella Ragonese, Michele Riondino, Claudio Santamaria, Paolo Sassanelli, Riccardo Scamarcio, Valeria Solarino Franca Valeri, Daniela Virgilio, is a story about what’s happened in Italy in the last 30 years.
Artisti 7607 has taken the responsibility to change things in order to promote a transparent and efficient way to manage performers rights.
We closely followed and support the market’s liberalization process in Italy so we all exulted when just few months ago the Italian Government announced the liberalization of neighbouring rights’ market.
A new deal has come: the administration of neighbouring rights is now free!
The liberalization process will consent to improve the Italian neighbouring rights’ market to European best practices, which have long demonstrated the worth of a pluralistic model.
We are pretty sure that the liberalization process will enhance, also in our country, the development of a dynamic and efficient market so that performers will receive more competitive and on time services.
In this new scenario today we are ready to create a new collecting society providing professional, transparent and high-standard services for all performers.
